Frequently Asked Questions

Candidates who have appeared for CET-2026 (For Specific Course) should log in using their registered email ID and CET password. Go to CAP registration. Select that specific Course Under Higher Education. Enter their CET Registration Number and Roll Number, verify the CET percentile details, and proceed with CAP registration. You will get Application Id.
The mobile number and email ID used during CET registration will be prefilled. The mobile number cannot be changed. If you need to change your email ID, you must raise a grievance through the portal.
Yes. Entering a valid APAAR ID is mandatory while filling the application form.
Yes. If your name has changed, select "Yes" for Name Change, enter the changed name, and specify the reason and upload the Name change certificate
No. Once the application is confirmed, no edits are allowed unless you unlock the application
Select the candidature type (Type A, B, C, D, E, OMS, J&K Migrant) based on your eligibility as mentioned in the Information Brochure.
(i) A candidate passing Graduation or Post Graduation or equivalent Examination from a recognised Institution in Maharashtra or outside the Maharashtra, as the case may be; and (ii) A candidate who is either domicile of Maharashtra and / or is born in Maharashtra ;
The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category (Candidate should have Domicile Certificate from the State where candidate belongs or Candidate should have a Birth certificate issued by the respective State Government). OMS [Out Side Maharashtra State] candidates i.e. All India Candidature candidates should fill their CET application form in Open Category.
Select the category exactly as mentioned on your valid caste certificate.
Candidates claiming reservation under applicable categories should provide the Caste Validity Certificate or valid application receipt as prescribed in the Information Brochure.
Yes. If the Fetch facility is unavailable or verification fails, you may upload the available certificate manually.
It is mandatory only for applicable reservation categories as per Government rules.
Select "Yes" under Minority and choose the applicable Linguistic or Religious Minority.
Generally, no additional fee is required in CAP. However if category change from Reserved to Open , then difference fee amount will have to pay.
Upload the photograph and signature strictly according to the specifications displayed on the portal
Use the Raise Ticket (Grievance) option available in the portal and select the relevant category.
Yes. Use View Grievance Details from the dashboard to check the status.

Candidates may contact the CAP Helpdesk during working hours or raise a grievance through the portal for application-related issues.
Yes. Before confirming the application, you can delete and upload the correct document.
Your application may be rejected during e-verification.
Upload only original documents as specified in the Information Brochure and Document Upload section.
Candidates who possess a valid Orphan Certificate issued by the competent authority as prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra are eligible to claim the Orphan reservation.
In the Orphan, Category & Minority section of the application form, select "Yes" for Are You Orphan? Then select the applicable Orphan Type (Institutional or Non-Institutional) and upload the required supporting documents.
Enter SSC, HSC (or equivalent), Graduation details, and year/semester-wise marks as applicable.
The CAP Application Form provides the facility to enter marks. You are advised to enter the marks accordingly. For any further clarification regarding the calculation or entry of marks, please refer to the Information Brochure.
Merge all marksheets along with the conversion certificate (if applicable) into a single PDF and upload it.
(Cumulative Grade Point Average)/CGPI (cumulative grade percentile index conversion to marks is the responsibility of the candidate applying for the CET. The candidate is to resolve the issue with the Active help of the School/College and Board /University from which he has completed the course and acquired the Certificate/Degree. It is the requirement of the Admission rules for tie-breaking purposes
